Description
4-speed kicker starter cover with cable operated release assembly, for electric and kick starter transmissions. The cover features a natural finish.
Kit includes 4-speed cover, ball ramp assemlby and cable. Kick starter cover design first developed by Tom Rodan Cycle in California, and produced by Lefco, Robert Leffer's Company in the late 1980's. Robert's father, who also operated Lefco, was good friends with Rob Paugh of Paughco. The ball ramp mechanism is investment cast and 3 ball type, as used on late Softail models. Designed to eliminate the clutch arm, which would interfere with the York electric start kit installation. *NOTE: Pushrod may be shortened for earlier applications; 1941-1964, 1965-1969 Big Twin models. Kit includes clutch pushrod for 1970-1984 FL models. Kit accepts clutch cable with 48" casing and clutch cable with 51.625" casing.
