V-Twin - 51-0723 - Weld-On Frame Hardtail for Sportster
Description
This raw steel full rear section hardtail for Sportsters includes the rear motor mount and 4 bolt plate mount with upper and lower tube set. Frame is used to replace the stock rear motor mount and seat tube.
The rear motor mount 4-bolt plate is welded in place. Drum brake models require a seperate mount slot/tab. The tabs for the drums on the disc brakes are not included. The mount holes will fasten sissy bars and rear fender braces. Installation will require provisions to secure rear brake backing plate on mechanical brakes, or stay bar on disc brake. When installed gives clean line "rigid" look! Shipped in raw steel. If using the OE factory drum brake hubs, it is required to use a seperate stay tab. Hardtail includes replica rear axle plates with factory shape, to give the look of an original 1950's Panhead Rigid Frame! *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged "oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs. *NOTE: Welding should be performed by a skilled welding technician. Weld on unit should be aligned for chain clearance prior to final welding.
