Spyke is a PerTronix Performance Brand that started back in 1962. Originally, this company had a different name and dealt strictly with big rig trucks. It started with an idea of an electric ignition system that would replace the points and condenser in the distributors. The company started manufacturing these systems and they gained worldwide acceptance from fleet managers who realized the improvement in reliability and reduced maintenance cost. In 1985, the ignitor technology was utilized and complete electronic distributors were developed for a variety of different engines. Since 1991, the company has committed themselves entirely to the ignition business and have grown tremendously in the performance industry. Their hard work and experience has paid off.
