Kevin Van Tomme's Ultra Violet Low Rider ST

Kevin Van Tomme, 35, knew his first customized Harley-Davidson would be a work of art. His Low Rider ST needed solid paint job, and he found the man for the job in Noël of Neo Paint Shop @neo_paint_shop. From a solid conversation, Kevin and Noël were able to establish a solid understanding of what the Low Rider should look like. Kevin understood the paint job was a crucial part of the build process.

"My favorite part of the process remains the painting," Van Tomme states. "This is where the bike really took on its soul. [Noël] is a real artist and he does a crazy job."

Van Tomme, who resides in Nice, France, began personalizing his Low Rider ST a year ago with his friend Filou. Filou works at Eleven Motors @elevenmotors06 on the French Riviera and did all of the work on Van Tomme's bike. Additionally, Kevin received help from the Harley-Davidson Factory Cagnes Sur Mer Dealership.

"Basically, I wasn't supposed to do any custom painting ," Van Tomme explains of the paint job. "Just the rims and the tank lettering."

Van Tomme admits that almost all of the orignal bike has remained in tact, but modifications were added to make the ride stronger. He and his team started off with parts from Original Garage Moto with an 8.5 riser and an ODI Handlebar in order to elevate the cockpit. Additionally, the crash bar also came from the Original Garage Moto; at the front of the ST, Van Tomme chose the mini mx peg for additional comfort.

"For the seat, I opted for a Saddlemen seat, which offers a great position on the motorcycle," Van Tomme observes. "For the front lighting, an LP6 from Baja Designs with a unique purple film to see at night, as well as in broad daylight. And at the rear, an LED light with an integrated indicator from Original Garage."

Van Tomme got everything for the brake and speed controls from Crosstread Cycles, and Lucas Carbon was the main source for the central console and front and rear mudguards. They are all covered in hexagonal carbon. The bike also sports a nice set of complimentary derby covers; all parts are available on Eleven Motors' website.

"It has a big Stage 2 from Poivre Noire Performance," Van Tomme says of the Low Rider's performance parts. "[There's also a] 2-in-1 SP Concept exhaust on incredible quality, made by hand, and an air filter and injection body from S&S. The cam [is by] the Screamin' Eagles."

As far as custom manufacturing goes, Van Tomme admits there is not much aside from the one-of-a-kind tinted LP6 purple fuel cap. He goes on to say nothing compares to riding his motorcycle; once he fires up the engine, everything changes. He swallows the kilometers on his unique bike, which people stop to stare at. He has never had so much fun riding a motorcycle before.
