The Eazy Co.'s 1947 Knucklehead - All Chrome, Idle Hands Show 2026

Seventy-nine years old and still stopping people mid-step. John and Craig of The Eazy Co. rolled an all-chrome 1947 Knucklehead into the inaugural Idle Hands Chopper Show at Manchester Harley-Davidson, and we grabbed a walk-around of the whole thing.

A Pile of Parts and a Borrowed Motor

"It was the easiest bike we've ever built, if I'm going to be honest," the guys say. "It's just a pile of parts that we accumulated over a way too long of a time."

The motor did not come out of that pile. It came out of their orange stainless show bike, the one that ran the Virginia City Roundup. They said screw it, pulled the motor and transmission, and dropped the whole drivetrain into something shinier.

Chrome Everywhere You Look

Up front it is a 21-inch star hub wheel with a mechanical Knucklehead front drum brake, hung on a '41 or '42 springer that is not quite fully extended. "the value is out the window."

The Bates headlight and the spiky bits came with the front end. The bars did not. Chris Johnston at Oxford Chopper Co. made the tapered risers, and 7/8 C bars went on top. The wheel got laced, bolted on, and they hoped for the best.

The oil tank is an old smudge pot. Out back sits a 19-inch wheel under an all-chrome sissy bar with a grenade hanging off it, plus an original 1947 Massachusetts plate. On the gas cap, a reaper with a double-barrel shotgun.

Idle Hands 2026

This was the first Idle Hands Chopper Show, held at Manchester Harley-Davidson in Manchester, New Hampshire. All-day party, a Kickstart competition, and a $10,000 check for the winner.
