Anthony Ocampo Jr's 1977 Shovelhead "Sally"
Anthony Ocampo Jr. is proud to introduce you to his lovely lady "Sally," a 1977 Harley Davidson shovelhead thta turns heads wherever she goes. But she didn't always look like the one-of-a-kind motorcycle she is today: Anthony gave her a full custom rebuild, and told us at Deadbeat all about it.
Under her hood, Sally boasts a 93 cubic-inch shovelhead engine with a Leinweber L5 cam, 3-5/8” big bore cylinders, and a 4-1/2” stroker S&S crank. This powerful setup is complemented by S&S heads, solid lifters, adjustable push rods, and Andrew's transmission gears.
To ensure reliable ignition, Sally has a brand new Dynatek 2000i adjustable electronic ignition system. There's also a V-Twin 3ohm Coil and custom vintage cloth spark plug wires with Retro Rajah terminal ends.
Her drivetrain now includes a Drag Specialties chrome 48t sprocket, a new chrome o-ring chain, a Drag Specialties +1 extended kickstand, a new BDL 11mm primary belt and a Spyke Heavy Duty starter drive..
Sally's exhaust gases are expelled through a set of Heads4Ever custom polished stainless steel two-into-one pipes. An FNA pop top oil pressure gauge and a Paugcho oil tank with a filter keep her engine running smoothly. Sally's intake system features an S&S intake manifold, a Mikuni HSR 42 carburetor, a Mikuni shorty idle screw, and a Mikuni short pull choke knob. Additionally, there is a Vulcan billet Mikuni to S&S manifold adapter, Yost Performance 1” billet manifold spacer, and Yost Performance power tube jet kit. A custom billet velocity stack by Dragon Performance tops it all off
The suspension and braking systems underwent a massive overhaul. The front end features a 39mm Mullin's super narrow front end with 4 over forks and shaved fork sliders which are held in place with billet neck cups and a Chopperstuff fork stop. Additionally, the bike has dual FNA 3.25” LED headlights and an FNA dual headlight mount.
Out back, Sally has Progressive 440 rear shocks, a Lowbrow rogue rear fender and a Junior's Handmade Custom stainless rear sissy bar. The bike is also fitted with an Old Gold garage cobra seat and a Lowbrow 1.9g Wassel tank.
Her controls are now equipped with a GMA 5/8” bore rear master cylinder, Chopper Hauss selfie stick passenger pegs, Lowbrow pursuit pegs, a Prism Supply super prism throttle, a custom Barnett throttle and clutch cables and Owl Parts Service grips.
Moving on to wheels and brakes, Sally has an 18/21 Borrani High shoulder wheelset built by Matt Carrol @oldnippletwister, Performance Machine dual 4-piston rear brake calipers and a Lyndal 11.5” 2-piece floating rotor. A Billetproof caliper carrier and a Speed King Racing brake linkage guarantee smooth and reliable braking.
Finally, Sally's paint job was handled by Ronnie @weightsandpaints. He gave her a truly unique and eye-catching motorcycle.
Sally is not a show bike but rather a daily rider that has been built to withstand the rigors of the road. In addition to all of her amazing custom upgrades, Anthony Ocampo Jr. took the time to replace almost every bolt on the bike with stainless steel bolts and hand polished each one himself. These small details may not be immediately noticeable, but they help to give Sally a truly polished and clean look. And despite being a daily rider, Sally is always kept clean and well-maintained—further testament to Anthony's dedication to his build.
