Spotlight - @FXDLSBrooklyn
@FXDLSBrooklyn, a product of the New York punk and hardcore scene, is a creator of performance Dyna/FXR content set in and around Brooklyn. This content can be viewed on his YouTube channel of the same name.
@FXDLSBrooklyn's top priority is crushing heavy miles and executing long bike trips. He and his fellow Dyna/FXR riders have challenged the notion of needing a bagger for a cross-country ride. This common idea led to the recent creation of the Low Rider ST, further proving this unconventional riding style is on the rise.
One of his rides has captured our attention: his iconic 2001 Harley Davidson FXDX, known around town as the "Bushwick Bike". Check out the spotlight below:
The Man Behind the Build
Brooklyn, New York resident Peter Gunz is well-known for his builds. @FXDLSBrooklyn picked up Peter's 2001 FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport and, aside from freshening up some parts in the motor, starter, shocks and headlight, he didn't change much.
Paint
The bike's paint job alone is something to marvel at. "If it's from New York, it's got to have flames." - Peter Gunz
This bike features a Mikuni carb nestled in the blacked-out custom top-end 88ci Twin Cam. A Woods cam punches up the power on the bottom end, providing a deep, throaty roar that comes out the end of a Fab28 exhaust pipe.
Additional Parts
The Saddlemen seat, Moons lighting, Ohlins suspension and Leatherpros bags really give the bike that club-style look and functionality!
Riding NYC
This combination of parts creates a unique, aggressive look that stands out from the pack. Riding the FXDX is an experience in and of itself. @FXDXBrooklyn and his DX are core fixtures of the New York Harley scene. When he isn't working on his Youtube Channel (@FXDLSBrooklyn), you can catch him tearing it up around the city.
You can catch @FXDXBrooklyn and one of his many bikes at the Indian Larry Block Party for the end-of-season celebration.
"It's the place to be in NYC . Everyone should hit the block party in September. Shout out to Bobby!"
If New York were a person, its' personality would be larger than life. This bike is the perfect embodiment of that personality, and it lays on that classic NYC charm!
Bonus Bike!
This FXDLS is an absolute MONSTER, complete with an S&S 124ci motor! Make sure you're connected to Deadbeat Customs' and @FXDLSBrooklyn's socials, because we've teamed up to bring big bike dreams to life! We're excited about this collab and can't wait to see what's next for @FXDLSBrooklyn!!!
