Sturgis Sportster - Trimmed Cam Cover, Chain Drive, & TrackerDie Front Sprocket Cover Install
With all this craziness going on lately with the coronavirus we have hunkered down in the shop and really pushed forward with the Sturgis Sportster build. On the newest YouTube video we trim down the stock cam cover, removing all the excess casting you don't need when going to a chain drive. We also installed a chain drive kit with parts we have for sale at Deadbeat Customs, this includes a Drag Specialties rear sprocket and a Hard Drive front sprocket, we also went with a Bike Master BMZR chain, this is the same chain we recommend on all of our chain drive kits just like the one we sell for Dyna models.
To add to the looks and functionality of the bike we decided to go with a TrackerDie front sprocket "bulletproof" cover. These come in black from TrackerDie and not only protect the front sprocket and you the rider but also add great looks to the bike.
Check out episode six of the Sturgis Sportster build below:

For the Chain Drive kit we went with gearing that is closest to stock 23/48.
